Students will learn the traditional Indigenous art of moccasin making from Treaty 3 Ojibwe artists Cindy Hamilton and Teresa McDowell. Each student will complete a pair of elk suede moccasins with rabbit fur trim.

In this 3-hour class, we’ll walk through step by step how to create an 8”x10” needle felted landscape ready to be framed - no experience necessary! From creating a compelling composition to “mixing” colors to creating different shapes & textures to execute your ideas, I’ll demonstrate general needle felting techniques to get started then we’ll experiment and play together!

Students will create a beautiful 3-inch by 6-inch hanging garden mosaic. You will learn to use glass nippers and grout your mosaic piece. All supplies and materials are included. Safety glasses are provided. Multiple colors and design options are available. Come enjoy making a beautiful, whimsical piece for your garden.
