Bringing Art to Rural Northwestern Minnesota
"Our goal is to offer a variety of arts experiences that are affordable and accessible to all ages and abilities, and to stimulate the vibrancy of our region."
The BAAC was formed in 2014 and with grants from Region 2 Arts Council we've been able to offer a wide variety of concerts and workshops in mediums such as watercolor, oil, acrylic, colored pencils, alcohol inks, jewelry, photography, printmaking and wood carving at an affordable price.
In 2015 we offered five free concerts at Farm By The Lake, a pets in watercolor workshop and a workshop by the Minnesota Center for Book Arts. In 2016 we sponsored five concerts in Bagley and Gonvick, and two alcohol inks workshops. In 2017 we offered four concerts along with 2 school performances and a plein air workshop in oil and acrylic. In 2018 we held five workshops including a plein air workshop in watercolor.
Check out the Clearwater County Photography Club! They plan shows, classes and photoshoot opportunities throughout the year. Upcoming meetings and events posted HERE.
We're always looking for suggestions for new classes and teachers--both local and national.
